Panther Valley students can begin exploring college and career opportunities while still in high school through Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Dual Enrollment Academy.

Students take college courses connected to growing career fields while earning credits that may apply toward an associate degree at LCCC or transfer to another college or university. Depending on course availability, classes may be offered online, at an LCCC campus, or at Panther Valley.

• Criminal Justice
• Education
• Gaming
• Health Science
• Network and Cybersecurity
• Technology

Benefits of Participating

Through the Dual Enrollment Academy, students can:

• Earn college credits before graduating from high school
• Complete as much as one semester or one year of college coursework
• Explore a career field before selecting a college major
• Build confidence by experiencing college level coursework
• Make progress toward an LCCC associate degree or earn credits that may transfer to another institution

Financial Assistance

LCCC has received a Pennsylvania Dual Credit Innovation Grant to support students participating in career aligned academy pathways. Funding is available on a first come, first served basis and may cover tuition, textbooks, and fees for up to 12 credits of qualifying academy coursework.

How to Participate

  1. Speak with your Panther Valley school counselor to discuss available academy courses and how they may fit into your high school schedule.

  2. Complete the online LCCC Dual Enrollment Application.

  3. After receiving a confirmation email with your LCCC login information, complete the online Academy Interest Form.

  4. Register for approved courses.

Course availability and scheduling options may vary. Students and families should consult with a school counselor before applying.
